André & Michel Quénard stands as a pillar of Savoie winemaking—where mountain heritage meets precision, and local Alpine varieties find their purest, most expressive form.

Located in Chignin, at the heart of Savoie’s wine region, André & Michel Quénard is a benchmark estate in this still-underrated Alpine terroir. Passed down through generations, the estate is now run by Michel Quénard alongside his children, including Guillaume Quénard, who represents the new wave of dynamic Savoie winemakers.

The vineyard spans around 22 hectares, cultivated sustainably on steep slopes composed of limestone scree and marl-rich soils. The estate champions local grape varieties such as Jacquère, Roussanne (known here as Bergeron), Altesse, and Mondeuse, the emblematic red grape of the region.

Vinifications are clean, precise, and low-intervention, aiming to highlight the natural character of the grape and terroir. The wines are defined by alpine freshness, mineral clarity, and refined balance, with a depth that reflects the complexity of the terrain. Cuvées like “Les Terrasses”, “Chignin-Bergeron”, and “Mondeuse Vieilles Vignes” are admired for their honesty and brilliance.
