Description
Pol Roger’s Brut Réserve Champagne embodies the art of Champagne winemaking, in harmony with the family tradition that has endured for over 170 years. This sparkling wine is made from the first pressing of grapes from carefully selected vineyards, ensuring optimal expression of each varietal. The Brut Réserve is blended in equal proportions of the region’s three main grape varieties, each contributing essential characteristics to the overall balance of the wine. Aged in deep cellars at a constant temperature for at least 4 years, it results in a complex wine where freshness and elegance prevail.
Blend
33% Chardonnay, 34% Pinot Meunier, 33% Pinot Noir. The Chardonnay brings finesse and elegance, Pinot Meunier adds fruitiness and roundness, while Pinot Noir contributes structure and depth to the wine.
Tasting Notes
Appearance: The robe is a bright golden yellow, with luminous reflections. The mousse is fine, regular, and persistent, forming a delicate and elegant string of bubbles.
Nose: The first nose reveals fresh fruit aromas, notably green apple, pear, and citrus, followed by hints of white flowers. As the wine aerates, brioche and toasted notes emerge, reminiscent of the long lees aging, with a touch of sweet spices and vanilla.
Palate: The attack is lively and fresh, revealing well-integrated acidity. In the mid-palate, a soft roundness develops, with flavors of candied citrus, dried fruits like hazelnut, and a subtle note of melted butter. The finish is long, slightly saline, with a mineral persistence and a silky texture that invites prolonged tasting.
Aging Potential
Although ready to be enjoyed now, this Champagne can be cellared for 4 to 6 years, allowing the aromas to become even more complex over time.
Food Pairings
This versatile Champagne pairs perfectly with a wide variety of dishes. It will enhance fresh oysters, salmon tartare, seared scallops, or a seafood platter. It also harmonizes beautifully with soft cheeses like Brie or Camembert. For a more indulgent meal, it pairs deliciously with sushi, grilled fish, or even roasted poultry with herbs.
